Terre di Melazzano Organic Wine Farm

The Cellar

Our cellar is a sacred place for us! This is where our wine comes to life and grows, developing rich flavors that mature year by year. It is a carefully monitored process that requires constant attention.

Just like in the vineyards, we follow our philosophy of innovating while keeping with traditions. Alongside modern stainless steel tanks that are temperature-controlled for smooth fermentation, we have kept our traditional concrete tanks where initial fermentation occurs and is then continued in wooden barrels, barriques, and tonnaux.

Come February each year, we decide which vines will be blended and balance the amount of each one to obtain an elegant product with a long finish representative of our territory and hard work.

An enologist is like a painter who creates works of art through experience, talent and creativity; a bottle of wine therefore, when it inspires emotion, it does so just like a masterpiece.

Terre di Melazzano

Chianti Classico

Chianti Classico is one of the most well-known Italian red wines, recognized all around the world. Only the best grapes go into the making of this blend.

Production is limited to a specific geographic area, mostly located across the rugged hillsides of central Tuscany which vary geologically, physically, and climatically. This wine-producing land spreads from Florence to Siena following boundaries established in the 19th century by statesman Bettino Ricasoli, who also reordered the main road connecting the two cities, called Strada Regionale 222 Chiantigiana.

A noble product that comes from our hills and presents itself an intense ruby red, with flashes of burnt orange when aged. It is harmonious, dry, with tannins that soften over time and aromas following through to violet fragrances.

Chianti Classico may be consumed young, although color, aroma, and flavors improve with medium- to long-term ageing.
